The problem is migrating the content not 
doing another site will need lots of hours.

On the other site we can simplify plone just get rid of the publish-workflow
and so pending state and reviewer role, just manager and members and 
anonymous, like a big wiki.

My offer to a web-designer is:

if she/he just thinks a little bit of what is needed on the site
and make a design proposal as plain (x)html (maybe just use the plone standard 
css-download as a starting point) I could try to give my best to
implement the skin in plone, as file based product, so in future
everybody can hack on it.

Please think as of slots in the surface to design and fill.
Maybe its a good idea somebody who has no plone experience 
make the design so it doenst look like all other plone sites.
