gem 0.79 for IRIX

  Sorry for the delay...

  GEM 0.79 for SGI IRIX 6.2+ is out.  Get it from the usual place
(http://www.danks.org/mark/GEM).  One reason for the delay is that I no
longer (and haven't for a while) had physical access to an SGI machine.
I have to do all of the fixes and corrections via telnet with
vi...shudder.  If someone would be willing to take over the SGI port,
that would be great!

  I have also started a manual/tutorial.  You can find the bare-bones
beginning on the web site.  It is slowly being fleshed out and should be
at least usuable by the next release.  Any comments or additions would
be appreciated.
