midi out. serial out.

halo.

having troubles in getting any output from  pd. tested on w2k/win98 i
don't get an output via the serial object nor via midiout.

u_main.tk says: fconfigure $com1 -mode 19200,e,8,2
i guess that meens:
19200 baud
even parity
8 data bits
2 stop bits
rite?

connected a 2nd pc to the serial port of the pd-pc and tried to listen
with the above settings. all i recieved was random mess that didn't even
correspond to pd output.

midi didn't output anything either. midi in works.

any idea what i could try next?
