[PD] cd-rom pd-system

hi,
i need to burn a complete linuxsystem + pd on a cd-rom to make pd run on a
computer without harddisk. someone has experience with that? how do i know
which software packages are needed for pd? i learn about how to burn
bootable cds, so thats not really the problem, but i wonder how many of the
system software i can throw out and still bring pd to work. (including pdp).
i hope this question is not to "off-topic"...
