Try my new installer, which is based on Miller's release 0.37-test10.  
This version of Pd uses a new PortAudio and has the nifty audio device 
selector, so you don't have to deal with command line flags anymore.  
Plus it comes with lots of goodies, like ext13, ggee, maxlib, PDDP, 
unauthorized, zexy, and more and more.
