[PD] pd 0.38-2 OSX oddities

Hi Andrew,
it's a bug in the Portaudio interface between PD audio and Coreaudio - it
sets the sample rate to the maximum value given by the hardware.
I discovered it back in September and also sent a bug report - obviously it
hasn't been fixed yet.
