[PD] best linux system for using Pd just now

Ubuntu is a debian based distrobution so it could work with the debian
tools. I think you'll want to do the apt-get thing with pd.
If you want to compile from source, you will also need include files of
everything ( usually the -devel packages ).

I have looked ubuntu a few days ago, but it's not really a 'developer'
distro with all the includes you would like to have. If you can solve
your problems using the debian tools you should be fine, else I'd turn
to something that gives you the includes and full sources directly
instead of trying to fix a cripple distrobution.

Redhat, Suse or slack are your friends there ( I guess debian too )
However, that's a personal view.
