hola,

i think ffmpeg is definitely in pieces... ))
you seemed to have tried hard,
i recommend a very old ffmpeg because
it's the only one that works for streaming
but, for sure, it doesn't support the latest codecs.

alas, i'm not following anymore the evolution of ffmpeg
as now we have and use and will use THEORA ( pdp_theorin~ ).
a nice program ( ffmpeg2theora ) can convert all your videos to theora.

sorry for the discontinuity,
sevy

but pidip wont compile with version 2005 06 11 (latest I can get). The link on
the pidip page points to a local 2003-03-04 ffmpeg version. Pidip _will_,
however, compile with version 2005 02 08 .....

indeo3.4, 4.5 or 5.1 (all encoded in windoze). .... whereas mplayer can read
them all, all of them, all! ... doesn't mplayer use fmpeg as well..... grumble.
