[PD] Trying to figure out why video in Gem is running soooo slow

Hi I'm trying to run a video using pix_film in Gem but it is extremely
slow. I'm in Linux. The video was created via mencoder. Here is the
output from mplayer -identify  .. Any idea  why it chugs along so
slowly. It plays fine in mplayer.  I'm just using the pix_film help
patch to test it. Thanks.
