i have copied the "other_members" 'smartfolder' to
http://get.puredata.info/other but have to find an intelligent way to
get a link to that from the starting page.

as for contributed builds: they should be part of a softwareproject
(e.g. pd-extended), but you want them to be visibly offset (?)
i don't see a real reason for that (i guess it is along the lines of
"untrollable build environment where people could do (willingly or not)
nasty things")
personally i would probably go for one of:
- - not mark contributed builds at all
- - use the comment to indicate the contribution
- - use a different symbol for the contrib
